    I recommend the product. It delivers what it promises. The only thing that needs improvement is the application, but it still works perfectly. I had the installation done separately by an authorized person from British Gas.

Do I need permission to install an EV charger at home?

In most cases, no planning permission is needed for domestic installs, as long as it’s off-street parking (e.g., a driveway). If you live in a listed building or conservation area, check with your local council.

A standard home EV charger installation usually takes 2–4 hours. More complex jobs (e.g., long cable runs or fuse board upgrades) may take longer.

A tethered charger comes with a fixed cable — just plug in and go. Untethered offers more flexibility and a neater look but requires you to plug in your own cable each time. We’ll help you decide based on your routine and preferences.

Yes. Most modern EVs use a Type 2 socket, which is standard across UK and EU models. We’ll confirm compatibility when recommending your charger.
